Last August I bumbled around Cape Ann, MA for a week, my old Nikkormat next to me on the passenger seat of my car. I was interested in the timelessness of the place--especially the town of Gloucester, which is the oldest seaport in the country. During my time there I wandered the docks, photographing various members of the fishing community (with their consent). The small collection of black and white photographs that grew out of this experience became a photo-essay of sorts--a documentation of a place and the people I found there.
